Abstract:

Práce se zabývá historií Spojených Států Amerických, a to konkrétně dvacátých let minulého století. Práce, rozdělená do tří oblastí, zahrnuje nejprve možné příčiny vzniku této ?revoluce?a pokouší se vysvětlit důležité pojmy související s popisovaným obdobím. Ve druhé části práce zkoumá projevy jedné z nejdůležitějších a nejvlivnějších etap v Americe, kdy došlo k velké změně v oblékání, ale i chování mladých žen a rovněž ke změně jejich sociální role, postavení, názorů a možností. Práce prezentuje nejpodstatnější události a jevy ?bouřlivých dvacátých let?, včetně rozmachu mediální komunikace a reklamy, nových módních trendů, či zmiňuje nejvýznamnější ženy žijící ve dvacátých letech ve Spojených Státech. V neposlední řadě se práce snaží poukázat na důsledky tohoto období a jeho dopady na následující dekády. Pokouší se nastínit, do jaké míry a jakým způsobem dvacátá léta v Americe ovlivnila současné vnímání ženského pohlaví. Bakalářská práce provází jedním z nejdůležitější momentů v cestě žen za svobodou a rovnoprávností a dokazuje, jak důležitým zlomem pro vývoj žen ve skutečnosti dvacátá léta byla.

Abstract:

The undergraduate thesis deals with history of the United States of America, exactly with the twenties of the previous century. The thesis is divided into the three parts. The first part ecompasses the possible reasons of the ?revolution? in the twenties and tries to explain the most important terms connected to the described period. In the second part the thesis explores content of one of the most important and most influential era in America where huge changes in clothing and also in behavior of women happened. Among the other changes, described in the thesis, belongs the change of women´s role in society, the change of their social status, opinions and opportunities. The thesis presents the most essential events and phenomena of the ?roaring ? twenties, including the expansion of mass media and advertisements, the new fashion style, or the most famous women living in the twenties in the United States. Last but not least, the thesis wants to show the impacts of this period on the following decades. It wants to show how did the impact of the twenties influenced the current position of women in society. This undergraduate thesis guides the reader through the twenties in America ? one of the most significant moments on the far way of women to achieve their freedom and equality.
