Práce se zabývá problematikou trestu smrti v římském právu. Jejím cílem je identifikovat případy, kdy dle římského práva bylo možné pachateli uložit trest smrti, proč byl v jednotlivých případech volen právě takový druh trestu a rozebrat konkrétní způsoby, jakými byl trest smrti vykonáván. The thesis deals with the issue of the death penalty in Roman law. Its goal is to identify the cases when, according to Roman law, it was possible to impose the death penalty on a person, why in individual cases this type of punishment was chosen and to analyse the specific ways in which the death penalty was executed.
