Abstract:

Práce se zabývá analýzou kompozitního ukazatele Better Life Index měřícího míru blahobytu v jednotlivých státech. Tento ukazatel se distancuje od srovnání blahobytu např. jen pomocí hrubého domácího produktu. Proto při svém výpočtu zohledňuje jedenáct různých subukazatelů. Mezi ty patří bydlení, příjem a majetek, ale také subukazatele zaměřující se více na samotnou kvalitu života jako je životní prostředí, bezpečnost a další. Každý ze subukazatelů se skládá z jedné až čtyř proměnných, do výsledného výpočtu tedy vstupuje velké množství proměnných. Cílem této práce je posoudit vliv jednotlivých proměnných na výslednou hodnotu blahobytu a identifikovat ty proměnné, které jsou pro výpočet nejdůležitější a které naopak méně a lze je vynechat. Pro dosažení tohoto cíle práce využívá metody regresní a citlivostní analýzy, jejichž výsledky jsou vzájemně porovnány. Výstupy těchto analýz jsou dále použity pro sestavení návrhu ukazatele, který je méně rozsáhlý, ale lze ho stále dobře využít pro zhodnocení blahobytu v zemi.

Abstract:

This bachelor's thesis analyses the composite indicator Better Life Index, which measures the level of well-being in countries. The idea of this indicator is to measure welfare in a different way than just by using gross domestic product. Eleven sub-indicators are involved into the calculation, including housing, income, and wealth. Moreover, sub-indicators focusing more on quality of life are used (e.g., environment, safety etc.). The aim of this thesis is to assess the influence of individual variables on the result value of well-being and identify those variables that are most and less important for the calculation and which could be omitted. To achieve this goal, the thesis uses methods of regression and sensitivity analysis, the results of these analysis are compared. The outputs of these analyses are further used to compile a proposal for an indicator that is less extensive but can be used to assess well-being in the country.
