Accounting for depreciation and technical appreciation of fixed assets in Ukraine

Abstract:

Teoretická část této bakalářské práce popisuje ukrajinské zákony a standardy tykající se zejména regulace účtování o dlouhodobém odepisovatelném majetku, 5 metod jeho odpisování, podstatu technického zhodnocení a způsob komponentního odpisování. V kapitole „Účtování odpisů a technického zhodnocení“ je přehledně probráno účtování hospodářských transakcí, spojené s dlouhodobým majetkem. Praktická část rozebírá některé položky dlouhodobého majetku konkrétní účetní jednotky, popisuje technické zhodnocení jednoho z aktiv společnosti a doporučuje možné změny v odpisovém plánu a v oceňování majetku, jelikož ten je velice podhodnocen.

Abstract:

This thesis analyzes the theoretical and practical aspects of the Ukrainian legislation in relation to the regulation of accounting. It considers the policies for long-term depreciable assets, discusses five methods of depreciation and describes the essence of technical appreciation. An overview of the economic transactions associated with long-term assets is provided in the section “Accounting for Depreciation and Technical Improvements”. Section devoted to practical issues discusses long-term assets that belong to the entity’s property, describes the technical appreciation of one of the assets of the company and recommends possible changes in the plan of depreciation and property valuation because it may be highly underestimated.
