Fundraising for non-profit organization

Abstract:

Tématem diplomové práce je fundraising nestátních neziskových organizací. Hlavní náplní fundraisingových aktivit je získávání dostatečného množství finančních či jiných prostředků nezbytných pro naplnění poslání organizace. Zdroje těchto prostředků však nejsou nevyčerpatelné a neziskové organizace jsou si v tomto ohledu do jisté míry také konkurenty. Proto je nutné do dlouhodobé strategie organizace zahrnout také finanční plány, rozpočty a stanovit vhodné metody a postupy, jak získat od jednotlivých zdrojů potřebnou podporu. Cílem práce je vymezit základní teorii fundraisingu, možné zdroje financování nestátních neziskových organizací a způsoby oslovování stávajících i potenciálních dárců. Ve finančním plánování hraje nezastupitelnou roli také finanční analýza, jejíž problematice je věnována samostatná kapitola. V praktické části diplomové práce jsou teoretické základy popsány na konkrétním příkladu občanského sdružení, z jehož analýzy a srovnání s jinou organizací jsou vyvozeny určité závěry a doporučení.

Abstract:

The theme of the thesis is fundraising for non-profit organizations. The main target of fundraising activities is to obtain a sufficient amount of financial or other resources necessary to fulfill the organization's mission. The sources of those funds are not inexhaustible and non-profit organizations are from this point of view competitors. In the lon-term strategy of the organization it is necessary to include financial plans, budgets and determine appropriate methods and procedures, how to obtain from various sources needed support. The aim of the thesis is to define the basic theory of fundraising, possible sources of funding non-profit organizations and ways to appeal to existing and potential donors. Part of the financial planning is a financial analysis, which is discussed in a separate chapter. In the practical part of the thesis is the theory described on the specific example of the civic association, from whose analysis and comparison with other organisation are deduced certain conclusions and recommendations.
