Issues of crime prevention in Jablonec nad Nisou

Abstract:

Diplomová práce pojednává o problematice prevence kriminálního chování v konkrétním městě, tedy ve městě Jablonec nad Nisou. V teoretické části práce jsou uvedeny možné příčiny kriminálního chování a vývoj kriminality obecně, a je proveden rozbor systému prevence kriminality v České republice. V praktické části práce jsou analyzována místa ve městě, včetně nových lokalit, ve kterých dochází k páchání kriminality nebo naopak místa, kde se lidé cítí ohroženě. Následně je zmapována informovanost občanů o preventivních opatřeních realizovaných městem. Informace byly zjišťovány na základě výzkumu vytvořeného pro obyvatele města. Na základě zjištěných údajů byla vytvořena pocitová mapa pro lepší přehled míst, kde je kriminalita páchána. Výstupem práce je návrh nových možných opatření, která by vedla ke snížení kriminality a obav z kriminality.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the problem of prevention of criminal behaviour in a specific town – in Jablonec nad Nisou. In the theoretical part of the thesis the possible causes of criminal behaviour and the development of crime in general are presented, and an analysis of the crime prevention system in the Czech Republic is made. The practical part of the thesis analyses places in the city, including new locations where crime is committed or, on the contrary, places where people feel threatened. Subsequently, citizens' awareness of the preventive measures implemented by the city is mapped. The information was gathered on the basis of a survey designed for the residents of the city. Based on the data, a feeling map was created to provide a better overview of the places where crime is committed. The output of the work is the proposal of new possible measures that would lead to the reduction of crime and fear of crime.
