Vliv emisního zatížení na epifytické mechorosty (Bryophyta) na dubech (Quercus spp.)

Effect of emission load to epiphytic bryophytes (Bryophyta) on oaks (Quercus spp.)

Abstract:

Práce je zaměřena na posouzení bioindikačních vlastností epifytických mechorostů. Má za cíl zjistit, jak je struktura epifytických společenstev na dubech v České republice ovlivněna emisním zatížením, zda obsah dusíku ve stélce mechu koreluje s obsahem látek v ovzduší a reakcí borky, a jestli je druhové složení společenstev ovlivněno chemismem borky. Na 18 klimaticky podobných lokalitách, lišících se mírou znečištění, byla prozkoumána společenstva epifytických mechorostů na celkem 144 dubech. Data z terénního výzkumu byla doplněna o údaje z map a výsledky chemických analýz obsahu dusíku ve stélce mechu Hypnum cupressiforme Hedw.. Bylo zjištěno, že znečištění ovzduší mělo průkazný vliv na strukturu společenstev epifytických mechorostů. V oblastech s malým emisním zatížením byla společenstva vyhraněná a lze je zařadit do třídy Orthotrichetalia Had. in Kl. et Had. 1944. Společenstva zaznamenaná ve více znečištěných oblastech však kvůli absenci diagnostických nebylo možné zařadit do žádné vegetační jednotky. Na lokalitách s nižší koncentrací polutantů v ovzduší se častěji vyskytovaly některé citlivé druhy mechorostů – např. mechy z čeledi Orthotrichaceae a játrovka Radula complanata (L.) Dumort. Obsah dusíku ve stélce mechu Hypnum cupressiforme odebraného na jednotlivých lokalitách odpovídal míře modelové koncentrace NO2 v ovzduší. Koncentrace sledovaných polutantů v ovzduší neměla přímý vliv na pH borky forofytů. Borka zkoumaných dubů s větším obvodem kmene měla kyselejší reakci. Epifytická společenstva byla silně ovlivněna chemismem borky forofytů, přičemž na kvalitu ovzduší citlivé druhy mechorostů preferovaly forofyty s vyšším pH.

Abstract:

The study is pointed to the assessment of bioindication ability of epiphytic bryophytes. Main aims of the study are (1) to find out how the structure of epiphytic communities on oaks in the Czech Republic is affected by the air pollution, (2) whether the concentration of nitrogen in the moss thallus and the bark chemistry correspond to level of air pollution, and (3) whether the bark chemistry impacts species composition of epiphytic bryophyte communities. Communities of epiphytic bryophytes were studied on the 144 oaks across 18 climaticaly similar but differently polluted study sites. The data gained during the field research were completed with the map data and the chemical data – values of concentration of nitrogen in the thalli of Hypnum cupressiforme Hedw. Structure of epiphytic bryophyte communities was significantly affected by the level of emission load. Clearly defined communities (belonging to vegetation class Orthotrichetalia Had. in Kl. et Had. 1944) were recorded on the study sites with low levels of air pollution. Communities from areas with higher levels of air pollution lacked any diagnostic species. Sensitive species of bryophytes, e. g. mosses from Orthotrichaceae family and liverwort Radula complanata (L.) Dumort., were more frequently recorded on less polluted study sites. Amount of nitrogen in thalli of Hypnum cupressiforme corresponded to levels of NO2 pollution on particular study sites. Phorophyte bark pH was not directly affected by concentration of tracked pollutants in the air. Phorophytes with greater girth at the breast height had lower pH of their bark. Epiphytic communities were strongly influenced by the bark chemistry. Sensitive species of bryophytes prefered phorophytes with higher bark pH.
