Three-dimensional imagination of pre-school children

Abstract:

Tématem diplomové práce je vnímání prostoru dětí předškolního věku. Teoretická část definuje tuto konkrétní věkovou etapu dítěte, základní pojmy vztahující se k prostorové představivosti a osvětluje naše stanoviska k vzdělávání dětí. Důležitou kapitolou teoretické části je právě vymezení konstruktivismu, jelikož z tohoto vzdělávacího přístupu orientovaného na žáka jsme vycházeli při výstavbě celého konceptu výzkumného šetření. Konstruktivismus srovnáváme s tradičním vzdělávacím přístupem a popisujeme jeho typické strategie využívané v hodinách matematiky. Praktická část navazuje na výzkum paní doktorky Renáty Zemanové realizovaný v roce 2015. Metodou výzkumu byl kvalitativní experiment, který byl zopakován. Jednalo se o sérii dílčích úloh z prostředí krychlových staveb prováděnou dvojicí dětí. Srovnání výsledků obou výzkumů přineslo nové strategie řešení, které nebyly v původním experimentu zaznamenány. Dále bylo aktuální výzkumné šetření zaměřeno na hlubší analýzu důležitosti zapojení empatie dětí. Poslední kapitola obsahuje přepis dvou specifických komentářů dvojic.

Abstract:

The theme of the diploma thesis is the perception of space of preschool children. The theoretical part defines the particular age stage of the child, basic concepts related to the spatial imagination and clarifies our opinions to children education. The key chapter of the theoretical part is precisely the definition of constructivism, since the whole concept of the research was based on this student-oriented educational approach. The constructivism is characterized by comparsion with the traditional educational approach, its typical strategies in mathematics lessons. The practical part follows to the research conducted by Dr. Renáta Zemanová in 2015. The research method was a qualitative experiment that was repeated. It included a series of partial tasks oriented on cubic buildings performed by a pair of children. The comparison of the results of both researches brought new solution strategies that were not recorded in the original experiment. In addition, the current research focused on a deeper analysis of importance of involving empathy of children. The last chapter contains a transcription of two specific pairs comments.
