Motivation of adults towards non-formal education

Abstract:

Hlavním tématem této bakalářské práce je zjištění motivace dospělých k neformálnímu vzdělávání. Teoretická část je rozdělena do šesti hlavních okruhů, ve kterých se s pomocí odborné literatury snažím vysvětlit, co znamená celoživotní učení a jak se odráží ve strategických dokumentech v rámci České republiky a Evropské unie. Další část se zaměřuje na vzdělávání dospělých, jeho současnou situaci a typy vzdělávání. Třetí okruh je věnován neformálnímu vzdělávání a jeho rozdělení. V navazujících částech je vymezen pojem dospělý a pojem motivace, včetně vybraných teorií motivace, a pozornost je soustředěna na motivaci dospělých ke vzdělávání. Poslední část teoretické práce se věnuje stavu zkoumané problematiky. Empirická část popisuje samotný výzkum, jehož cílem bylo zjistit a porovnat zdroje motivace a okolnosti, které dospělé ovlivňují v jejich vzdělávacím procesu.

Abstract:

The main topic of this Bachelor´s thesis is to determine motivation of adults to informal education. The theoretical part is divided to six main areas which try to explain by means of professional literature what the life-long learning means and how it is reflected in strategic documents within the Czech Republic and the European Union. The next part focuses on the education of adults, its current situation and types of education. The third area is devoted to informal education and its specification. The following parts define terms ?adult? and motivation including selected theories on motivation and the attention is paid to the motivation of adults to education. The last part of the theoretical section deals with the status of the surveyed problems. The empirical part describes the research the goal of which was to determine and compare sources of motivation and circumstances influencing adults in their educational process
