This thesis focuses on the issue of accent in teachers of Czech as second language. It deals with the difference between native and non-native speaker as Czech teacher also in terms of their accent, looks at accent as a socio-cultural phenomenon and examines students' attitudes towards the teacher – non-native speaker.
