Teorie odpovědi na položku, využívaná v oblasti psychometrie za účelem sestavování a vyhodnocování testů, zahrnuje skupinu modelů, které umožňují odhadnout pravděpodobnost správné odpovědi na jednotlivé položky v testu jako funkci parametrů těchto položek a úrovně testované dovednosti respondenta.
