The Benchmarking in the Performance Evaluation of Enterprises

Abstract:

Současný stav a vývoj na českém maloobchodním trhu je charakteristický zostřujícím se konkurenčním bojem. Ve vysoce konkurenčním prostředí se zvyšuje tlak na efektivitu interních operačních postupů a procesů. Neefektivnost interních procesů společnosti vede k ušlým tržbám na zkoumaném souboru prodejen a ve svém důsledku k ušlému zisku. Současně roste riziko přenesení původců neefektivity při případné expanzi firmy. Je tedy žádoucí získat měřítka efektivnosti (KPI – Key Performance Indicators), jako nástroj na srovnávaní (benchmarking) obhodních jednotek (prodejen), ve zvolených veličinách. Pro tento cíl jsem použil teoretických přístupů benchmarkingu k prokázání nebo vyvrácení jejich použitelnosti. Výsledkem práce je nejenom prověření použitelnosti, ale i určení benchmarků, kvantifikování mezer ve výkonu, stanovení budoucí úrovně výkonu a navržení možných postupů, které povedou ke zlepšení situace. Předpokládá se, že společnost zvýší zisk a pevně zavede benchmarking do systému svých interních procesů.

Abstract:

Nowadays we can see tougher competition on Czech retail market. In highly competitive is environment pressure on own precesses rising. Ineffectivity of inner processes of the company leads both to loss of sales and consequent loss of profit. The risk of transmiting the causes of ineffectiveness would rise with the company’s expansion at the same time. So that it is necessary to gain the right and successful benchmark with which would be stores benchmarked in chosen measures. Because of above written the theoretical background was used to either support or refutate its applicability. As a result not only benchmarks were identified but also performance gaps were quantified, new performance targets set and possible plans suggested to improve the current situation. It is expected that company will increase profit and clearly implement benchmarking to its structures.
