The Contribution of Techniques of Experimental Poetry to the Cultivation of Literary Skills

Abstract:

Tato práce zkoumá možnosti a přínosy využití zadání z oblasti experimentální poezie a avantgardy pro výuku tvůrčího psaní. Zabývá se jak teoretickými aspekty rozvíjení tvořivosti pomocí postupů experimentální poezie, tak i praktickými důsledky pro vedení kurzu. Součástí práce je i zhodnocení výzkumu prováděném na dvou kurzech tvůrčího psaní. Tyto kurzy měly ověřit hypotézy o konkrétních přínosech postupů experimentální poezie pro rozvíjení literárních kompetencí. Úvodní předpoklady zahrnovaly oproštění od zažitých literárních schémat, okamžitou stimulaci tvůrčích sil, setření hranice mezi různými uměleckými disciplinami a odstranění kreativních bariér. Členění do kapitol je následující: 1. První kapitola je pojmoslovná. Pokuší se definovat žánr experimentální poezie a zachytit jej v co největší šíři. Zároveň předestírá i historický vývoj, který k jejímu vzniku vedl. 2. Druhá kapitola rozebírá teoretické aspekty výchovy k tvořivosti s přihlédnutím ke specifikům experimentální poezie. 3. Třetí kapitola je metodologická. Shrnuje poznatky, které se týkají praktických rovin lektorství tvůrčího psaní v žánrově zaměřených kurzech. Mimo jiné podrobně popisuje cíle výzkumu i výzkumnou skupinu. 4. Čtvrtá kapitola je popisem aktivit, které byly při obou tvůrčích setkáních použity. 5. V páté kapitole se pokouším verifikovat hypotézy a zhodnotit skutečné přínosy postupů experimentální poezie pro rozvíjení literárních kompetencí v rámci kurzů tvůrčího psaní.

Abstract:

This bachelor's thesis examines the possibilities and the benefits of utilization of exercitations from the field of experimental poetry and avant-garde for the tuition of creative writing. It deals with the theoretical aspects of the cultivation of creativity using the methods of experimental poetry, as well as with the practical consequences for the conduct of a course. The paper includes an evaluation of a research carried out during two courses of creative writing. These courses were aimed at verifying the hypotheses about the concrete contributions of the methods of experimental poetry to the cultivation of literary skills. The introductory assumptions included freeing oneself from conventional literary schemes, immediate stimulation of creative forces, dissolution of the border between various artistic branches and elimination of creative barriers. The division of chapters is as follows: 1. The first chapter concerns the notions. It attempts to define the genre of experimental poetry and to capture it in its broadness. At the same time, the chapter throws light upon the historic evolution which led to the creation of this genre. 2. The second chapter analyses the theoretical aspects of the training of creativity with regard to the specifics of experimental poetry. 3. The third chapter is methodological. It summarizes the knowledge concerning the practical level of the lectureship of creative writing in genre-oriented courses. Among others it describes in detail the objectives of the research and the research group. 4. The fourth chapter is a description of the activities which were used during both creative meetings. 5. In the fifth chapter I attempt to verify the hypotheses and to evaluate the actual contributions of the methods of experimental poetry to the cultivation of literary skills within the frame of the courses of creative writing.
