PM's socially responsible behaviour

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce zkoumá, jak veřejnost vnímá společensky odpovědné chování společnosti Philip Morris a zda CSR ovlivňuje nákupní rozhodování spotřebitelů tabákových a nikotinových výrobků. Dále poskytuje přehled a zhodnocení CSR aktivit dané společnosti. Práce je strukturovaná do tří kapitol. První část představuje stav současného poznání v oblasti společenské odpovědnosti firem, kde se práce zabývá definicí společenské odpovědnosti firem, jejím právním rámcem, komunikací, vlivem na spotřebitele a podniky a problematikou CSR v tabákovém průmyslu. V druhé kapitole je představena firma Philip Morris a její CSR aktivity, které jsou zároveň zhodnoceny. Třetí kapitola na základě dat získaných z dotazníkového šetření zkoumá, jak veřejnost vnímá společensky odpovědné chování dané společnosti a zda má CSR vliv na nákupní chování spotřebitelů tabákových a nikotinových výrobků. Na základě výsledků výzkumu jsou v této kapitole poskytnuta doporučení na zlepšení společensky odpovědného chování vybrané společnosti.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis examines how the public perceives the socially responsible behaviour of Philip Morris and whether CSR influences the purchasing decisions of consumers of tobacco and nicotine products. It also provides an overview and evaluation of the CSR activities of the company. The thesis is structured in three chapters. The first part presents the state of current knowledge in the area CSR, where the thesis deals with the definition of CSR, its legal framework, communication, impact on consumers and businesses and the issue of CSR in the tobacco industry. The second chapter introduces Philip Morris and its CSR activities, which are also assessed. The third chapter examines how the public perceives the company's socially responsible behaviour and whether CSR influences the purchasing behaviour of consumers of tobacco and nicotine products, based on data obtained from a questionnaire survey. Based on the research findings, this chapter provides recommendations for improving the socially responsible behaviour of the selected company.
