The Attitude of Nurses of the Region Zlin to the Issue of Euthanasia

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou eutanazie a zjišťuje, jaké postoje k ní zaujímají sestry ve Zlínském kraji. Cílem práce je zmapovat povědomí a postoje sester Zlínského kraje k problematice eutanazie. Dílčí cíle jsou: zjistit, jaký je postoj dotazovaných sester k eutanazii a právu ukončit svůj život a zda by byly pro legalizaci eutanazie v ČR; zjistit, jaké by byli postoje dotazovaných sester, kdyby se jich měla legalizace eutanazie osobně dotýkat, zda by se dotazované sestry zúčastnily jejího provedení, pokud by byla legalizo-vána, a zda by s ní souhlasili v případě svých bližních; zjistit, zda se setry za dobu své praxe již setkali s nějakou formou žádosti po eutanazii. V praktické části jsou zpracovány výsledky získané pomocí dotazníkového šetření a dále pomocí filmového dokumentu, který zachycuje odpovědi sester na tři zásadní otázky z dotazníku.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis focuses on the issue of euthanasia and presents the attitudes of nurses in the Zlín Region to euthanasia. The aim of this thesis is to survey awareness and attitudes of nurses in the Zlín Region to the issue of euthanasia. The sub-aims include: learning about the attitudes of the interviewed nurses to euthanasia and to the right to end someone?s life and whether they would support the legalization of euthanasia in the Czech Republic; learning about the attitudes of the interviewed nurses in case that the legalization of euthanasia would affect them personally, whether they would assist in it if it were legalized and whether they would agree with it if it concerned their relatives; learning whether the nurses have already been asked about euthanasia during their career. The practical part of this thesis contains the results of the survey and includes a documentary film that presents the responses of the nurses to the three crucial questions from the survey.
