The Issue of Education in the Hlučín Region in the years 1920 – 1930 as a Topic for Project Based Learning

Abstract:

Magisterská diplomová práce představuje možnost uplatnění tématu Problematika školství na Hlučínsku v letech 1920 – 1930 jako námět pro projektovou výuku, jako jednu z aktivizačních metod pro dějepis na gymnáziích. Cílem práce je představit studentům připojení Hlučínska k ČSR a jeho následnému vlivu na tamější školství. Teoretická část se věnuje historickému kontextu dané problematiky a dále definuje projektovou výuku, její metody a složky. Aplikací teoretických poznatků projektové výuky, didaktiky dějepisu byl vytvořen konkrétní výukový projekt Postavení školy v připojeném Hlučínsku, český nebo německý učitel? Navržený projekt je možné přímo využít ve výuce dějepisu, případně může posloužit jako inspirativní materiál pro tvorbu jinak regionálně či tematicky zaměřeného projektu

Abstract:

This master's thesis presents the possibility of applying the issue of Education in the Hlučín region in the years 1920 – 1930 as a topic for project based learning which might be one of the activating methods for the school subject history at grammar schools. The aim of the thesis is to introduce to the students the matter of connection of the Hlučín region to the Czechoslovak Republic and influence of the connection to the local education system. The theoretical part deals with the historical context of the issue of connection and defines methods and elements of project based learning. By applying the theoretical pieces of knowledge of project based learning and didactic of history there was created a specific teaching project: The Position of the School in the Connected Hlučín Region - Czech or German teacher? The proposed project can be used directly in the teaching of History either it can be utilized as an inspiring material for the creation of regionally or thematically focused project.
