Nutritional intervention in the new treatment of cystic fibrosis with the drugs Kaftrio and Kalydeco

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce pojednává o nové léčbě cystické fibrózy léky Kaftrio a Kalydeco a jejich dopadu na výživu pacientů. Teoretická část je rozdělena do tří kapitol, z nichž první je zaměřená na problematiku samotného onemocnění. Druhá kapitola se věnuje specifikům výživy při cystické fibróze a poslední kapitola již přibližuje nové léky a shrnuje poznatky z nejnovějších studií. V praktické části jsou popsány tři kazuistiky, tedy tři pacientky léčící se novým způsobem léčby. V kazuistikách je s každou z pacientek proveden proces nutriční péče, který zahrnuje zhodnocení, diagnostiku, intervenci a monitoring.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis discusses the new treatment of cystic fibrosis with Kaftrio and Kalydeco and their impact on patient nutrition. The theoretical part is divided into three chapters, the first of which is focused on the issue of the disease itself. The second chapter deals with the specifics of nutrition in cystic fibrosis, and the last chapter introduces new drugs and summarizes findings from the latest studies. In the practical part, three case studies are described, i.e. three patients treated in a new method of treatment. In the case reports, a process of nutritional care is carried out with each of the patients, which includes evaluation, diagnosis, intervention, and monitoring.
