Secure Payment of Electronic Payment Systems by Internet

Abstract:

The aim of the present thesis is to present the systems of electronic transactions analysing them from the point of view of security and to justify the theory that payment transactions on internet are fully secure. The description of two protocols used in electronic trading- SSL (Secure Socket Layer) and SET (Secure Electronic Transaction) - on the basis of research and individual experience support the hypothesis. Presentation of the different means of cryptography, like symmetric and asymmetric coding is another way of justifying the theory. The second part of my thesis aims at convincing the skeptical. In this part I presented some systems using the same protocols as the banks, but they are implemented in a user -friendlier environment. By introducing and examining future technologies such as biometric identification I could completely prove my hypothesis, namely one can do secure financial transactions through the internet.

Abstract:

Cieľom tejto bakalárskej práce je predstavenie systémov elektronickej platby tak, aby sme pri preskúmaní ich bezpečnosti v celej miere dostali také informácie a tvrdenia, ktoré potvrdzujú teóriu, podľa ktorej sú všetky platobné transakcie uskutočnené cez internet úplne bezpečné. Vďaka bádateľskej práci, odbornej literatúre a individuálnym osobným skúsenostiam sa podarilo predstaviť dva dôležité protokoly využívané pri každodenných elektronických obchodných transakciách, konkrétne SSL (Secure Socket Layer) a SET (Secure Electronic Transaction), ktoré v plnej miere potvrdzujú túto tézu. Rôzne kryptografické nástroje, ako napríklad predstavenie symetrických a asymetrických šifrovaní tiež potvrdzujú našu teóriu. Druhoradým cieľom mojej bakalárskej práce je uspokojenie „skeptikov“, preto som predstavil aj také systémy, popri ktorých sa síce sčasti používajú tie isté protokoly, ako používajú banky, tie sú však implementované do prostredia, ktoré je k užívateľom omnoho priateľskejšie. Predstavením biometrických identifikačných technológií budúcnosti je podľa môjho názoru možné sa presvedčiť o teórii v plnej miere, to znamená o bezpečnosti platobných transakcií vykonávaných cez internet.
