Activity of ice hockey referees during the match

Abstract:

V dnešní době je trend takový, že rozhodčí musí být perfektně připraven po všech stránkách. Jedná se o teorii, psychiku i fyzickou zdatnost. Rozhodčí je důležitou a nedílnou součástí hry a chyby jím způsobené by mohly mít kritické důsledky vůči hráčům na ledě, trenérům, sponzorům a divákům. V profesionálním hokeji hráči hrají o peníze a mládežníci o svoji budoucí hokejovou kariéru. Tato bakalářské práce porovnává aktivitu rozhodčích ledního hokeje vyvinutou na ledě při hokejových utkáních. Celkem bylo testováno 6 rozhodčích (3 hlavní, 3 čároví). Dohromady byla aktivita zaznamenávána ve 20 utkáních ledního hokeje. Měřena byla maximální srdeční frekvence, průměrná srdeční frekvence, maximální vyvinutá rychlost, průměrná rychlost pohybu a ujetá vzdálenost pomocí chytrých hodinek Garmin. Důležitým faktorem také bylo, že některé zápasy se řídily v systému 3 rozhodčích a některé v systému 4. Výsledky ukázaly, že jsou mezi jednotlivými ligami rozdíly v získaných datech. Bylo zjištěno, že čím kvalitnější soutěž, tím jsou kladeny větší fyzické nároky na rozhodčí.

Abstract:

The trend nowadays is that the referee must be perfectly prepared in all aspects. It is about theory, psyche and physical fitness. Referee plays an important and integral role in the game and mistakes made by him could cause serious consequences to the players, coaches, sponsors and spectators. In professional hockey, players play for money, and youths for their future hockey work. This bachelor thesis compares the activity of ice hockey referees during hockey games. A total of six referees were tested (3 main referees, 3 linesmen). Altogether, the activity was recorded in 20 ice hockey games. The highest heart rate, average heart rate, maximum developed speed, average movement speed and distance traveled were measured using a Garmin smart watch. An important factor was that some games were held in the system of three referees, and some in the system of four. The result showed that there were differences in the obtained data between the individual leagues. The data showed that the higher the league quality is, the higher are the physical demands placed on the referees.
