The influence of interpersonal relationships in the workplace on performance of employees (work teams)

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá vlivem mezilidských vztahů na pracovišti na výkon zaměstnance a následně i pracovních týmů. Teoretická východiska byla prakticky ověřována u konkrétního zaměstnavatele, tj. v zavedené praxi vybrané společnosti. Obsahem teoretické části práce je vysvětlení pojmů, jako je spolupráce, pracovní týmy a specifika jejich vedení. Dále je věnována pozornost chování ve skupině a úskalím ve skupinové komunikaci. Je vyloženo, jak řešit konflikty skupin, ale i jednotlivců, a charakterizován pojem diverzita na pracovišti. Ve druhé, praktické části diplomové práce jsou vyložené termíny zkoumány u vybrané společnosti a na základě dotazníkového šetření zpracována analýza dané problematiky v praxi vybraného podniku. Cílem práce je vyhodnotit, zda mají mezilidské vztahy opravdu vliv na výkon zaměstnance a pracovních týmů ve vybrané společnosti a případně navrhnout účinná zlepšení v této oblasti.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the influence of interpersonal relationships in the workplace on the performance of employees and consequently work teams. The theoretical background was practically evaluated at a specific employer, i.e. in the established business of the selected company. The theoretical part of the thesis includes an explanation of concepts such as cooperation, work teams and the specifics of their management. Furthermore, the focus is on group behaviour and difficulties in group communication. How to resolve conflicts of groups as well as individuals is explained and the concept of diversity in the workplace is characterized. In the second, practical part of the thesis, these terms are examined at a selected company and based on a questionnaire survey, an analysis of the selected company takes place. The goal of the thesis is to evaluate whether interpersonal relations really have such an effect on the performance of the employee(s) at the selected company and, if necessary, to propose effective improvements in this area.
