The impact of paradigmatic views applied by workers and members of two organizations providing assistance to Roma on formulating of interventional objective

Abstract:

Cílem práce je identifikovat a popsat paradigmatická pojetí pracovníků IQ Roma servisu a členů organizace Konexe a zjistit, jaký vliv mají tato pojetí na formulaci cíle intervence. Cílovou skupinou pracovníků a členů obou organizací jsou Romové žijící v České republice. Popis paradigmatických pojetí vychází především z tzv. „malých paradigmat“ sociální práce Malcolma Paynea. Výzkumnou metodou je polostrukturované kvalitativního dotazování. Analýza odhalila, že východiska přístupu pracovníků organizace IQ Roma servis odpovídají převážně paradigmatickému pojetí společenského řádu. To se odráží v tom, že cíl intervence formulují společně s klienty při individuální sociální práci. Paradigmatické pojetí členů organizace Konexe lze popsat jako transformační, což se projevuje tím, že cíl intervence generuje komunita.

Abstract:

The purpose of this thesis is to identify and describe paradigmatic views applied by workers of IQ Roma servis and the members of Konexe and find out how do these views affect the formulation of interventional objectives. The target group of both organizations consists of Roma living in the Czech Republic. The description of paradigmatic views is predominantly based on three paradigmatic views of social work coined by Malcolm Payne. The research method is a semi-structured qualitative interview. The analysis revealed that the basis of approach of IQ Roma servis workers follow mostly the paradigmatic view of social order. This means that the objective of the intervention is formulated with the clients during the process of individual social work. The paradigmatic view of the members of Konexe can be described as transformational, which is reflected by the fact that the objective of the intervention is generated by the community.
