Evaluation the position of the lower limb and foot arch in children 10 - 12 years

Abstract:

Cílem diplomové práce je přispět k řešení problematiky postavení dolních končetin u dětí ve věku 10 12 let s ohledem na nadváhu a obezitu. Práce je členěna do několika částí. Teoretická východiska práce se zabývají pohybovou aktivitou dětí, charakteristikou mladšího školního věku, zdravotně orientovanou zdatností, zdravotními komplikacemi způsobenými sníženou zdatností a dolními končetinami. Výzkumná část práce je zaměřena na hodnocení postavení dolních končetin v souvislosti se zjišťováním procentuálního poměru tuku v těle, provedením výpočtu Body mass indexu vzhledem k percentilovým grafům a předpokládané pohybové aktivitě dle typu školy. Z výsledků výzkumu vyplývá, že se nám potvrdil jistý vztah mezi nadváhou, obezitou a vadným postavením dolních končetin. Naopak se nám nepotvrdil vyšší výskyt vad v oblasti dolních končetin u žáků z běžné školy oproti žákům ze školy sportovní.

Abstract:

The thesis aims to contribute to the solution of the lower limbs position issue among the children between 10 and 12 years of age  with regard to overweight and obesity.      The paper is divided into several parts. The theoretical basis of the paper are focused on children's physical activity, characteristic of younger school age, health-related fitness, health complications caused by inadequate fitness and lower limbs. The research evaluates the position of the lower limbs in connection with identifying the percentage ratio of fat in the body, making the calculation of body mass index considering percentile graphs and supposed physical activity according to the type of school.      According to the research, there is an evident relationship between overweight, obesity and defective position of the legs. On the contrary, a higher incidence of defects in the lower limbs among pupils from general schools compared with children of sport schools hasn´t been confirmed.
