Accounting aspects of debt securities

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na dluhové cenné papíry a aspekty jejich zachycení podle českých účetních standardů a předpisů a dále podle Mezinárodních standardů účetního výkaznictví. Důraz je obzvláště kladen na odlišnou klasifikaci dluhových cenných papírů, jejich ocenění a následné zachycení v účetnictví. V teoretické části je objasněna problematika vztahující se k jednotlivým účetním systémům. Na toto navazuje praktická část, kde je na realistických příkladech vykreslena a porovnána rozdílnost mezi těmito systémy.

Abstract:

This bachelor’s thesis focuses on debt securities and the aspects of their reporting under the Czech GAAP and International Financial Reporting Standards. The emphasis is especially on distinct classification of debt securities, value measurement and their subsequent recording. The theoretical part clarifies the issues related to these two accounting systems. This part is followed by a practical chapter which demonstrates and compares differences between these systems.
