Cieľom DP je priblížiť prehľad dôvodov súčasnej celosvetovej krízy a načrtnúť jednotlivé opatrenia prijímané za účelom reštrukturalizácie finančných trhov. Je potrebne zohľadniť skutočnosť, že pokiaľ autor pracuje na predmetnej práci, finančná kríza trvá, a jednotlivé hodnotenia dopadov môžeme len odhadnúť.
