Tato diplomová práce se zabývá charakteristikou kolagenu a jeho rolí v léčbě kloubních onemocnění. Diplomová práce se skládá z části teoretické a praktické. V teoretické části se práce zaměřuje na onemocnění kloubního aparátu a možnosti léčby, co je to kolagen a jaké existují typy kolagenu. Také se soustředí na metabolismus kolagenu a jeho využití.
