Identification and proposal of the development potential of Alliance française Brno

Abstract:

Práce zkoumá neziskovou organizaci Alliance Française Brno, z. s., která je součástí celosvětové sítě Alliance Française zaměřené na propagaci francouzského jazyka, francouzské a frankofonní kultury doma i v zahraničí. Práce se zaměřuje na analýzu současného stavu instituce ve vztahu k prostředí, v němž působí. Úkolem práce je identifikovat oblasti potenciálu aktivit instituce a doporučit konkrétní kroky a prostředky pro jejich rozvoj na základě dílčích analýz – PEST analýza vnějšího prostředí, SWOT analýza a sociologický výzkum. Práce je strukturována do tří částí. První část popisuje organizaci Alliance Française Brno, z. s. z hlediska historie, poslání, organizační struktury, aktivit a činností organizace a postavení instituce v kraji. Druhá část práce se věnuje dílčím analýzám, jejichž výsledky jsou použity ke zhodnocení potenciálu ve třetí části práce, kde jsou navrhnuty konkrétní prostředky a doporučení pro organizaci. Vedlejším záměrem práce je také představit metodu užitím různých analytických přístupů, která může být užitečným nástrojem pro hodnocení.

Abstract:

The thesis examines the non-profit organization Alliance Française Brno, z. s., which is part of the global network of Alliance Française, specialized in promotion of French language, French and Francophone culture both at home and abroad. The thesis focuses on analysis of current state of institution in relation to the environment in which it operates. The aim is to identify areas of potential of the institution's activity and to recommend specific steps and means for their development based on sub-analyses: PEST analysis of the external environment, SWOT analysis and sociological research. The thesis is structured into three parts. The first part describes the organization of Alliance Française Brno, z. s. from the point of view of history, mission, organizational structure, activities of the organization and status of the institution in the region. The second part is devoted to the sub-analyses, the results of which are used to evaluate the potential in the third part of the thesis, where specific means and recommendations for the organization are proposed. The secondary aim of the thesis is also to introduce the method using different analytical approaches, which can be a useful tool for evaluation.
