Education in Poland and the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá přiblížením a srovnáním školství v Česku a v Polsku. Nejprve analyzuje obecné pojmy ?školství? a ?škola?, dále popisuje jednotlivé funkce školy, včetně jejího vnitřního prostředí a poté se zabývá historií školství zvlášť v českých a polských zemích. Především rozpracovává jeho vznik a období od 16. století až do současnosti. Následně se snaží nastínit školství v obou zemích, především se věnuje systému školství, stupni a formě vzdělávání, klasifikaci a školnímu roku. Další analyzovanou oblastí se stala kvalita školního života, kde je vysvětlena kvalita školy a s ní související spokojenost žáků se školou, která je současně zkoumána pomocí dotazníkového šetření. Poslední část této práce nahlíží na rozdíly a podobnosti mezi školstvím v Česku a v Polsku.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with description and comparison of the education system in the Czech Republic and Poland. First, it analyses general terms ?the education system? and ?the school?, then it describes particular functions of school including its inner surroundings and then it deals with history of the education system, especially in the czech and polish countries. Primarily, it elaborates its origin and period of time from 16th century up to the present day. Then, it sketches education in both countries, especially it deals with the education system, level and form of education, classification and school year. The next part analyses quality of the school year where quality of the school and satisfaction of pupils is explained. The school is currently examined via questionnaire survey. The last part of the thesis deals with differences and similarities between the education system in the Czech Republic and Poland.
