Abstract:

Bakalářská práce pojednává o významných proměnách a přenosech a jejich značném vlivu na proces dospívání hlavního hrdiny v románu J. K. Rowlingové Harry Potter a relikvie smrti. Poslední díl této série byl vybrán z důvodu gradace a zakončení celého příběhu jako bildungsromanu. Hlavní tvrzení se opírá o předpoklad, že ve většině případů dané jevy účelně zachycují progresívní posun hlavního protagonisty od jeho dětinské naivity k dosažení plnohodnotné dospělosti. Některé proměny a přenosy jsou dále považovány za hlubší stimul čtenářovy představivosti a umožňují mu tak zformovat své vlastní názory. Napomáhají navíc vytvářet mystickou a vysoce emocionální atmosféru důležitou pro napínavý závěr celého románu. Práce sestává ze dvou hlavních částí – teoretické a analytické. Teoretická sekce, obsahující tři menší kapitoly, se zabývá autorčiným životopisem, dílem a závratným úspěchem celé její série. Druhá kapitola, tvořící nejpodstatnější úsek tohoto oddílu, pojednává o žánru bildungsroman, jež napomáhá odhalit zásadní vliv daných jevů na Harryho postupný proces dospívání. Analytická část, rozdělena do deseti podkapitol, zkoumá pečlivě vybrané proměny a přenosy zakomponované do poslední části tohoto příběhu a jejich přímé důsledky, které mají na hrdinův citový a rozumový vývoj. Klíčové metody aplikované na tento výzkum jsou studium textu a jeho analýza.

Abstract:

This work explores remarkable transformations and transfers and their significant influence on the protagonist´s process of maturation in the narrative Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows by Joanne Kathleen Rowling. The last instalment of the Harry Potter series has been chosen due to its gradation and finality of the novel as a bildungsroman. The main aim of this work is to argue that in most cases these phenomena efficiently illustrate the gradual progression from Harry Potter´s childish naivety to attaining his maturity. Furthermore, some transfigurations and transfers are considered to serve as a further stimulus to reader´s imagination and allow them to shape their own opinions; they also help to create the mystic and highly emotional atmosphere important for the thrilling finale. The thesis consists of two main parts – theoretical and analytical. The theoretical section, containing three chapters, deals with author´s biography, work and the immense success of the series. The most essential section in the theoretical part is the second chapter exploring the genre of bildungsroman that acquires great significance for the process of Harry´s gradual maturation. The analytical part, subdivided into ten segments, analyses carefully selected transformations and transfers employed in the narrative and their consequences they have had on the progression of the central character´s emotional and intellectual growth. The key methods applied in the research are observation and analysis.
