Informal Learning of Students in the Field of Social Pedagogy

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá tématem informálního učení vysokoškolských studentů oboru sociální pedagogika. Magisterská práce má teoreticko-empirický charakter. V teoretické části je čtenář seznámen s ústředními koncepty, jakými je učící se společnost, celoživotní učení a informální učení. Pozornost je věnována též charakteristice oboru sociální pedagogika, se zvláštním zaměřením na téma učení sociálních pedagogů. Empirická část pak obsahuje popis metodologie a samotného provedeného kvalitativního výzkumného šetření. Cílem výzkumného šetření bylo zjistit, jak se studenti informálně učí a jaký význam této aktivitě přikládají. V rámci výzkumu byla pozornost upřena na zjištění toho, jakými způsoby studenti sociální pedagogiky tento typ učení realizují. Bylo zjištěno, že studenti celkově preferují komunikaci a pozorování. Taktéž upřednostňují učení se v offline prostředí. Informálnímu učení studenti přisuzují velký význam.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis examines informal learning of university students in the field of social pedagogy. This thesis has a theoretically-empirical character. In the theory part the core concepts, such as learning society, lifelong learning and informal learning, are introduced. Attention is also paid to the characteristics of the field of social pedagogy with focus on learning of social educators. Empirical part contains description of methodology and execution of qualitative research survey. The goal of research was to find out how these students execute informal learning and what meaning it has to them. The research focused on finding how students of social pedagogy implement this type of learning. We found out that students prefer learning by communication and observation. They also prefer studying in offline environment. Students attribute great importance to informal learning.
