Laterna Magika – Czech Theatrical Phenomenon and Its Transformations

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se věnuje proměnám českého divadelního fenoménu Laterny magiky, a to zejména v letech 2015–2023. Teoretická část obsahuje legislativní zakotvení příspěvkových organizací a manažerská specifika řízení divadelní organizace tohoto typu. Dále teoretická část ve svém závěru stručně shrnuje historický vývoj Laterny magiky. V rámci praktické části jsou pomocí kvalitativního výzkumu zkoumány zásadní proměny, které se odehrály v souboru ve zkoumaném období. Proměny jsou mapovány ve dvou rovinách: dramaturgické a ekonomicko-organizační. Praktická část obsahuje také náhled do hospodaření Laterny magiky a identifikuje faktory, které mají potenciál zásadně ovlivnit její budoucí vývoj. Závěr je věnován shrnutí nejvýznamnějších poznatků, zodpovězení výzkumných otázek a potvrzení stanovené hypotézy.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis focuses on the transformations of the Czech theatrical phenomenon Laterna Magika, particularly during the years 2015–2023. The theoretical part encompasses the legislative framework of state-funded institutions and the managerial specifics of managing a theatrical organization of this type. Additionally, the theoretical section briefly summarizes the historical development of Laterna Magika. Within the practical part, significant transformations occurring within the examined period are investigated through qualitative research. These transformations are mapped out in two dimensions: dramaturgical and economic-organizational. The practical section also provides insight into the financial management of Laterna Magika and identifies factors with the potential to significantly influence its future development. The conclusion summarizes the most significant findings, addresses the research questions, and confirms the established hypothesis.
