Consumer behavior in the current hospitality

Abstract:

Diplomová práce je zaměřena na spotřební chování hostů v současném hotelnictví. Hlavním cílem je analýza chování hostů v různých hotelových zařízeních. Na základě výzkumu spotřebního chování jsou poté v závěru navrhnuté způsoby, kterými by se mohly hotely řídit, aby zlepšily dojem hostů před, během i po jejich pobytu. Teoretická část se zabývá managementem v oblasti služeb, jeho specifiky a posláním hotelového managementu dále analyzuje spotřebitelské chování z hlediska psychologie a upřesňuje faktory ovlivňující spotřebitelské chování hotelových hostů. V poslední části jsou aplikovány poznatky spotřebitelského chování hotelových hostů na hotelový marketing. V rámci praktické části se prostřednictvím výzkumu zjišťují současné postoje a preference hostů hotelových zařízení a na základě získaných poznatků se analyzují změny, ke kterým dochází v jejich spotřebitelském chování. Výzkum se uskutečnil formou dotazníkového šetření ve čtyřech hotelových zařízeních metodami PAPI a CAPI.

Abstract:

The thesis is focused on the consumer’s behavior as a guest in the current hotel hospitality. The main goal is to analyze the behavior of guests in various hotel facilities. Based on research of consumer’s beaviour are then suggested the ways in which hotels could follow in order to improve the impression of guests before, during and after their stay. The theoretical part deals with management in the field of services, its specifics and mission of hotel management. Analyzes further analyzes consumer behavior in terms of psychology, specifies the factors influencing the consumer behavior of hotel guests. In the last part, the knowledge of behavior of hotel guests is applied to hotel marketing. In the practical part research examines the current attitudes and preferences of hotel guests and, based on the acquired knowledge, analyzes the changes that occur in the consumer behavior of hotel guests. The research was carried out in the form of a questionnaire survey in four hotel facilities using the PAPI and CAPI methods.
