Social responsibility and possibilities of its application in the case of municipalities

Abstract:

Předmětem diplomové práce „Společenská odpovědnost a moţnosti její aplikace v případě obcí“ je analýza konceptu společenské odpovědnosti a návrh moţnosti jeho vyuţití v případě obcí a měst. Na základě znalostí získaných z podnikatelského sektoru je navrţen kompletní model pro aplikaci společenské odpovědnosti v případě obcí a měst. Diplomová práce je dále doplněna o dotazníkový průzkum, který zjišťuje povědomí veřejnosti a také zaměstnanců a představitelů obcí a měst o konceptu společenské odpovědnosti a jejich názor na jeho případnou aplikaci do fungování obcí a měst. V závěrečné části práce jsou pak v rámci případové studie analyzovány aktivity vybraných obcí, které jiţ obce vykonávají, a lze povaţovat za společensky odpovědné. Na druhé straně jsou naopak vytýčeny ty oblasti, ve kterých tyto aktivity chybí nebo jsou prováděny pouze v minimálním rozsahu.

Abstract:

The subject of this submitted thesis “Social Responsibility and Possibilities of its Application in case of Municipalities“, is analysis of Social Responsibility and the proposal of its use in case of municipalities. Based on the knowledge gained from the business sector there is the complete proposal of model for application of social responsibility in functioning of municipalities. The thesis is supplemented by questionnaire survey detecting the public awareness and awareness of employees and representatives of municipalities of social responsibility and their opinion on the use of the concept in municipalities. At the end of the thesis there is the case study including analysis of selected municipalities. In these municipalities there are detected the social responsible activities but on the other hand there are detected areas, where these activities are absent or are only of minimal occurence.
