Shelters as a Social Service Assisting Mothers with Children in Distress

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce pojednává o matkách s dětmi, kteří se ocitly v tíživé životní situaci a vyhledaly proto služby azylového domu. V teorii nastíníme celkovou problematiku rodiny, patologické jevy, které se vyskytují v rodinách, a také se zaměříme na neúplnou rodinu, protože děti, které využívají službu azylového domu, jsou zejména vychovávány jedním rodičem a to matkou. Azylový dům je sociální služba, proto se v druhé kapitole zaměříme na sociální služby obecně. Jelikož empirická část pojednává o výchově, poslední kapitola bude zaměřena na výchovu dětí. Také popíšeme výchovu v azylovém domě a prostředky, které matky k dosažení efektivního výchovného působení používají. Dále definujeme výchovu k volnému času a nabídku volnočasových aktivit v azylovém domě. V empirické části se zaměříme na výzkumné cíle a odpovíme na dílčí výzkumné otázky, které jsme si určili. Praktická část je zpracována pomocí kvalitativního výzkumu, tedy díky rozhovorům s klientkami azylových domů. Získané data byly přepsány a pomocí otevřeného kódování utvořeny čtyři hlavní kategorie, které nám v závěru přinesly odpovědi na hlavní výzkumnou otázku.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with mothers with children who find themselves in a difficult life situation and therefore find services of a asylum home. In theory, we outline the general family issues, the pathological phenomenom that occur in families, and we will also focus on an incomplete family, because children who use the asylum home are mostly reised by their mother. The Asylum House is a social service therefore we will focus on social servi-ces in the second chapter in general. As the empirical part deals with education, the last chapter will focus on the education of children. We will also describe the upbringing in the asylum home and the means that mothers use to achieve an effective educational outreach. Furthermore, we define leisure time training and offer leisure time activities in the shelter. In the empirical part, we will focus on the research goals and answer the partial research questions we have identified. The practical part is elaborated through qualitative research, thanks to interviews with clients of asylum homes. The data obtained has been rewrite and four main categories have been created using open encoding, which in the end brought us the answers to the main research question.
