Economic aspects of sustainable development of the city Liberec

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá trvale udržitelným rozvojem města, v aplikaci na krajské město a nejvýznamnější metropoli Libereckého kraje tj. město Liberec. První část práce je teoretického charakteru, nejprve se zabývá vymezením města a jeho funkcí, poté charakteristikou vybraného území a ke konci definicí trvale udržitelného rozvoje v celé své šíři, nejen z hlediska vývoje přístupu a jednotlivých pilířů, ale též z hlediska principů, indikátorů a cílů. V praktické části jsou nejdříve metodou deskripce a komparace shrnuty všechny strategické dokumenty, které nalezneme pro město Liberec do současnosti. Poté praktická část pokračuje samotnou analýzou vybraných indikátorů trvale udržitelného rozvoje. Jednotlivé indikátory udržitelného rozvoje zde jsou zkoumány ze čtyř možných aspektů: územního, environmentálního, ekonomického a sociálního. Cílem práce je získat poznatky, díky kterým bude možné zhodnotit jednotlivé pilíře trvalé udržitelnosti města, zejména pak ekonomického pilíře. Dané poznatky jsou poté přehledně shrnuty do SWOT analýzy.

Abstract:

The work deals with the sustainable development of the city, in an application to the county seat and the most important metropolis of the Liberec region that is Liberec city. The first part is theoretical character first deals with the definition of the city and its functions, then the characteristics of the selected area and at the end of the definition of sustainable development in its entirety, not only in terms of the development approach and the individual pillars, but also in terms of principles, indicators and targets . In the practical part of the first method description and comparison summarized all strategic documents that can be found for the city of Liberec till today. Then, the practical part continues the very analysis of selected indicators of sustainable development. Individual indicators of sustainable development are examined from four different aspects: land use, environmental, economic and social. The aim is to acquire knowledge, thanks to which it will be possible to evaluate the different pillars of sustainable cities, especially the economic pillar. The theory is summarized in the SWOT analysis.
