Professional ethics of primary school teachers

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá etikou učitelů na 1. stupni základní školy. Jak učitelé vnímají etiku v obecném i konkrétním smyslu. Práce je rozdělena do dvou částí – teoretická a empirická část. Teoretická část se zabývá základními pojmy - vymezení a rozdělení etiky, morálka nebo pojmy dobro a zlo. Dále se zabývá vývojem a historií etiky. Posledním tématem, kterému se teoretická část věnuje, je profesní etika, konkrétně etika učitelská. K profesní etice jsou připojena další témata, jako profesní komory nebo etický kodex. Empirická část za pomocí případové studie zkoumá konkrétní základní školu a její vnitřní etické nastavení. Pro bližší zkoumání byl využit kvalitativní výzkum. Se čtyřmi respondenty byl veden polostrukturovaný rozhovor. Na základě odpovědí respondentů bylo zjištěno, jak vnímají různé etické aspekty a situace, jaké k nim zaujímají postoje a jak je hodnotí z hlediska profesního i osobního.

Abstract:

The master diploma thesis deals with the Professional ethics of primary school teachers. How teachers perceive ethics in general and in its more specific sense. The master diploma thesis is divided into two parts – theoretical and empirical part. The theoretical part deals with basic concepts – definition and division of ethics, morality or the concepts of good and evil. It also deals with the development and history of ethics. The last topic addressed in the theoretical part is professional ethics, specifically teacher ethics. Other topics such as professional chambers or codes of ethics are added to professional ethics. The empirical part uses a case study to examine a particular primary school and its internal ethical setting. Qualitative research was used for further investigation. A semi-structured interview was conducted with four respondents. Based on the answers of the respondents, it was found out how they perceive different ethical aspects and situations, what attitudes they have towards them and how they evaluate them from a professional and personal point of view.
