Motivation of second grade students to regular physical activities

Abstract:

Cílem bakalářské práce je zjistit, jaké vnitřní motivy jsou důležité pro žáky základních škol a jaké naopak ne. Dále také zjistit, zda se tyto motivy liší u dívek a chlapců. Pro sběr dat byl zvolen standardizovaný dotazník MPAM-R, který obsahuje 30 otázek zaměřených na 5 vnitřních motivů. Byl rozdán náhodným 197 studentům na 5 základních školách v Havířově. Žáci měli od 10 do 15 let. Výsledky šetření ukázaly velkou podobnost mezi motivujícími faktory u dívek i chlapců. Nejdůležitějším se pak stal motiv zdatnosti a kompetence. Naopak nejnižší stupeň se ukázal u motivu sociálního a vzhledu.

Abstract:

The aim of the bachelor's thesis is to find out which internal motives are important for elementary school students and what motives, on the other hand, are not that important. Secondly, the goal is to find out if these motives differ between girls and boys. A standardized MPAM-R questionnaire was chosen for data collection, which contains 30 questions focused on five internal motives. It was handed out to 197 random students from five elementary schools in Havířov, in age from 10 to 15 years old. The results of the survey showed a great similarity between motivating factors for both girls and boys. Results show that the most important motives are fitness and challenge for competence in sports. On the contrary, the lowest degree was shown in the social motive and physical appearance.
