Abstract:

Penzijní fondy v České republice již od svého vzniku v roce 1994 každoročně posilují své postavení v sektoru penzijního připojištění. Dnes již většina populace nepochybuje o nutnosti zajistit se na stáří svými vlastními prostředky, protože státní důchodový systém nebude schopen zabezpečit adekvátní výplaty důchodů stárnoucí populaci a právě penzijní fondy pravděpodobně sehrají zásadní úlohu v novodobém důchodovém systému. V teoreticko-metodologické části této diplomové práce představuji specifika fungování penzijních fondů a možné způsoby reformy důchodového systému. V praktické části se zabývám rozborem vývoje penzijních fondů od jejich vzniku až po současnost a prostřednictvím analýzy a komparace statistických dat a ekonomických ukazatelů se snažím zodpovědět otázku, zda penzijní fondy skutečně plní či mohou v budoucnu plnit úlohu pilíře důchodového systému.

Abstract:

Pension funds in the Czech republic are already strenghening its position in the sector of pension insurance from its creation in 1994 every year. Most of the populations today have no doubts about the necessity to secure their pension by their own funds, because the state pension system will not be able to promise the adequate pension for the aging population anymore and it is the pension funds who probably will play a significant role in the new age pension system. In the theoretical part of my diploma work I am presenting the specifics of the pension funds operation and the possible ways of pension reform. In the practical part I am analyzing the pension funds development from the beginning to the present days and through the analyze and comparison of statistic data and economical factors I am trying to answer the question whether pension funds fulfil all the functions or could possibly serve as a pillar of the future pension system.
