Foreign trade between the Czech Republic and the People's Republic of China

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá zahraničním obchodem mezi Českou republikou a Čínskou lidovou republikou. Hlavním cílem práce je zhodnocení vývoje exportu, importu a obchodní bilance obou zemí v letech 2000 až 2018, zhodnocení teritoriální a komoditní struktury zahraničního obchodu a také významu ČLR jako obchodního partnera ČR. Teoretická část práce zahrnuje základní pojmy a souvislosti z oblasti zahraničního obchodu a souvisejících témat. V závěru této části je pozornost věnována základním informacím o ČR a ČLR se zaměřením na hlavní makroekonomické ukazatele. Data pro analýzu zahraničního obchodu byla získána z databáze Českého statistického úřadu a Světové obchodní banky. Jako výzkumná metoda byla zvolena trendová analýza časových řad. Praktická část se zabývá postupně zahraničním obchodem ČLR a ČR. Je zde provedena analýza časových řad exportu a importu, zhodnocení teritoriální a komoditní struktury zahraničního obchodu a pro export a import ČLR je vyhodnocena trendová funkce podle indexu determinace a střední absolutní procentuální chyby. Na základě trendových funkcí je provedena predikce budoucího vývoje zahraničního obchodu. V závěru bakalářské práce jsou získané výsledky shrnuty, vyhodnoceny a je zde doplněn komentář k současnému světovému vývoji a jeho vlivu na zahraniční obchod.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with foreign trade between Czech Republic and People's Republic of China. The main aim of the thesis is to evaluate the development of export, import and trade balance of both countries in the years 2000 to 2018, the territorial and commodity structure of foreign trade and also the importance of the People's Republic of China as a trading partner of Czech Republic. The theoretical part includes basic concepts and connections from the foreign trade and related topics. At the end of this part, attention is paid to basic information about the Czech Republic and the People's Republic of China, focusing on the main macroeconomic indicators. Data for foreign trade analysis were obtained from the database of Czech Statistical Office and World Trade Bank. Trend analysis of time series was chosen as a research method. The practical part deals gradually with the foreign trade of the People's Republic of China and the Czech Republic. There is an analysis of time series of export and import, evaluation of territorial and commodity structure of foreign trade and for People's Republic of China export and import is evaluated trend function according to determination index and mean absolute percentage error. Based on the trend functions, a prediction of the future development of foreign trade is made. At the end of the thesis, the results are summarized, evaluated and commented on the current world development and its influence on foreign trade.
