Europeanization of the Czech information and advisory services operating in the area of European research

Abstract:

Cílem této práce je popsat a analyzovat vznik a rozvoj českých národních informačních a poradenských služeb působících v oblasti podpory výzkumu a vývoje Evropské unie (EU) a jejich roli v evropeizačním procesu. V první části se práce soustřeďuje na působení evropeizačního procesu na český národní výzkumný systém ve směru top-down, kdy je zkoumána výzkumná politika EU, její iniciativy vzhledem k ustanovení zmíněných služeb, implementace těchto iniciativ na české národní úrovni a pozdější vývoj těchto služeb v rámci českého výzkumného systému. V druhé části se práce věnuje analýze dalšího rozvoje rolí informačních a poradenských služeb a otázce, zda tyto služby hrají roli aktéra zprostředkujícího evropeizační tlak ve směru bottom-up z národní zpět na evropskou úroveň.

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis is to describe and analyse establishment and development of the Czech national information and advisory services operating in the area of EU research and development support and their role in the process of Europeanization. The first part of the thesis is focused on the impact of the Europeanization process on the Czech national research system in the top-down direction, when considering the EU research policy, its initiatives in the scope of above mentioned services, implementation of these initiatives at the Czech national level and further development of these services within the Czech research system. In its second part, the thesis provides an analysis of the further development of the services´ roles and answers a question, if these information and advisory services play a role of an actor mediating the Europeanization pressure in the bottom-up direction from the national level back to the European one.
