The Contemporary Individualism

Abstract:

Ústředním tématem této práce je popis změn, které s nástupem dnešní doby masového konzumu zasahují naši společnost, lidské chování i každého jednotlivce. Práce vychází z reflexí a úvah týkajících se individualizované společnosti, jejichž autoři jsou Daniel Bell, Zygmunt Bauman, Evelyn Sullerotová a zejména Gilles Lipovetsky, a porovnává je na základě různých sociologických a demografických analýz a výzkumů se současnou situací v České republice. Zaměřuje se na to, jak projevy individualismu ovlivňují situaci v rodinách, ve škole či v práci. Dále si všímá změn vztahu člověka k druhým lidem, ale i k sobě samému, včetně změny vztahu k vlastnímu tělu.

Abstract:

The leading topic of this work is the description of important changes caused by the birth of contemporary affluent society. The work results from the reflections and essays written by Daniel Bell, Zygmunt Bauman, Evelyn Sullerot and especially Gilles Lipovetsky. Their conclusions are compared to the situation in the Czech Republic. The work pays attention to the infulence of individualism in the sphere of family, school or careers and it notices the changes of interpersonal relations and the relation to own Self.
