Variance analysis in profit development

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá analýzou odchylek ve vývoji zisku konkrétního podniku. V práci je věnován prostor nejen klasickým faktorům ovlivňujících zisk, ale analýza je dále doplněna o další vlivy, jako je například měnový kurz či inflace. Cílem bylo posoudit aktuální situaci podniku, ale také zjistit, jakým vlivem se měnový kurz či inflace podílí na odchylkách a zda se vyplatí tyto vlivy zahrnout do svých analýz. Vyhodnocení probíhalo prostřednictvím informací získaných ze společnosti, na základě nichž byly jednotlivé odchylky kvantifikovány. V závěru práce jsou jednotlivé odchylky vyhodnoceny, přičemž společnost ABC s.r.o. se v roce 2021 negativně odchýlila od standardního zisku o téměř –84 milionů korun. Z toho nejvýznamněji se na tomto snížení podílelo snížení objemu prodaných výkonů a nárůst variabilních nákladů.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with the variance analysis in profit development of a particular company. The work is devoted not only to the classic factors influencing profit, but the analysis is also complemented by other effects, such as the exchange rate or inflation. The aim was to assess the current situation of the company, but also to find out what effect the exchange rate or inflation contributes to the variances and whether it is appropriate to include these effects to analysis. The evaluation was carried out through information obtained from the company of which were individual variances quantified. At the end of the work are individual variances evaluated whereas the company ABC s.r.o. in 2021 deviated negatively from the standard profit by almost –84 million crowns. The most significant of this reduction was the reduction in the volume of sold products and increase in variable costs.
