Addictive Behavior as The Dark Side of The Audiovisual Industry

Abstract:

Diplomová práce s názvem Závislostní chování jakožto odvrácená tvář audiovizuálního průmyslu si klade za cíl popsat problematiku oficiálně uznaných i spekulovaných digitálních závislostí a poukázat na jejich souvislost s audiovizuálním prostředím. Práce se zabývá typologií i klasifikací závislostního chování a následně popisuje jeho konkrétní formy, přičemž se zaměřuje na ty, které mají charakter digitálních a online aktivit. Specifické mechanismy závislostního chování jsou pak uvedeny do kontextu s působením v audiovizi. V neposlední řadě práce za použití dotazníkového šetření zjišťuje míru povědomí o nahlíženém tématu v rámci komunity Filmové a televizní fakulty AMU, tedy mezi stávajícími i budoucími profesionály audiovizuálního průmyslu.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis, entitled Addictive Behavior as The Dark Side of The Audiovisual Industry, sets out a goal to describe the issue of officially recognized as well as speculative digital addictions, and to identify their connection to the audiovisual environment. The thesis addresses the typology and classification of addictive behavior and subsequently describes its specific forms, concentrating on digital and online ones. Specific mechanisms of addictive behavior are then contextualized with the audiovisual industry environment. Last but not least, by the use of a questionnaire the thesis inquires into the scope of awareness of the stated topic within the community of The Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts, therefore among the current and future professionals of the audiovisual industry.
