Gender aspects of classroom communication on the 2nd grade of Czech primary school

Abstract:

Magisterská diplomová práce se zaměřuje na genderové aspekty pedagogické komunikace na české základní škole. Tato práce je rozdělena na dvě části: teoretickou a empirickou. Teoretická část se dálě dělí na dvě hlavní kapitoly. První kapitola se zabývá představením gender problematiky jak na obecné úrovni, tak v souvislosti se vzdělávacím systémem. Druhá kapitola je zaměřena na oblast pedagogické komunikace. Stežejním bodem teoretické části je text věnující se genderových apektům pedagogické komunikace, kdy jsou zároveň představeny výsledky výzkumných studíí zaměřených na dané téma. Empirická část nejprve představuje výzkumnou metodologii. Poté je pozornost věnována prezentaci výsledků výzkumného šetření. Cílem realizovaného výzkumného šetření bylo prozkoumat, zdali se v chování vyučujících na 2. stupni české základní školy neobjevují genderově stereotypní vzorce.

Abstract:

The topic of master thesis focuses on the gender aspects of classroom communication in Czech primary schools. The paper is divided into two parts: a theoretical and an empirical one. The theoretical part is further subdivided into two main chapters: the first one introduces the gender problematic on a general level and in the context of education systems. The second chapter focuses on the area of classroom communication. The main part of theoretical part deals with gender aspects of classroom communication where results of other research studies are presented as well. The empirical part of the thesis first describes the research methodology. Afterwards, attention is focused on the presentation of the research results. The goal of the research is to examine whether any gender stereotype pattern in behaviour of teachers on the 2nd grade of Czech primary schools can be identified.
