Strategic Business Risk Analysis of ATEK s.r.o.

Abstract:

Cílem diplomové práce je sestavení finančního plánu společnosti ATEK s.r.o. na základě předchozí analýzy rizik, které mají vliv na implementaci strategického záměru a navržení opatření pro ošetření těchto rizik. V teoretické části práce jsou shrnuty metodiky a nástroje strategické analýzy a strategického řízení podniku s důrazem na analýzu rizika, které jsou v praktické části následně aplikovány na analyzovanou společnost. V praktické části je nejprve společnost ATEK představena a jsou formulována její strategická východiska, včetně hlavního finančního cíle. V části věnované strategické analýze je zkoumáno prostředí podniku pomocí PESTEL analýzy, Porterova modelu pěti sil, analýzy VRIO a finanční analýzy, na základě čehož jsou následně identifikovány silné a slabé stránky podniku a příležitosti a hrozby jejího okolí. Poté je sestaven finanční plán podniku na následujících pět let, který zohledňuje nejvýznamnější rizikové faktory v podobě třech scénářů vstupujících do matematického modelu simulace Monte Carlo. Výsledkem simulace je grafické znázornění míry pravděpodobnosti, se kterou společnost dosáhne formulovaných strategických cílů. Závěrem práce jsou navrženy způsoby pro ošetření identifikovaných rizik.

Abstract:

This master’s thesis focuses on compiling a financial plan of the company ATEK s.r.o. based on a previous risk analysis and suggesting measures to address these risks. The theoretical part of the thesis summarizes the methodology and tools of strategic analysis and strategic management with emphasis on risk analysis, which are then applied in the practical part. In the practical part, the company is introduced and its strategic plan and goals are formulated. The strategic analysis examines the company's environment using PESTEL analysis, Porter's five forces model, VRIO analysis and financial analysis, based on which strengths and weaknesses of the company and opportunities and threats of the company’s environment are identified. Then the five-year financial plan is compiled, which considers the most important risk factors in the form of three scenarios entering the mathematical model of Monte Carlo simulation. The simulation results in a graphical representation of the degree of probability with which the company will achieve the formulated strategic goals. At the end of the work, methods for the treatment of identified risks are proposed.
