Attitudes of students of the University of Ostrava to education in social work

Abstract:

Diplomová práce je zaměřena na postoje studentů Ostravské univerzity Fakulty sociálních studií oboru Sociální práce k vzdělávání v oblasti sociální práce. Závěrečná práce je rozdělena na dvě části. Teoretická část se skládá ze tří kapitol. První kapitola popisuje postoje, jejich vznik, typy, změnu, měření, sociálního pracovníka a jeho cíle a dovednosti. Další kapitola se věnuje vzdělávání obecně, vzdělání, vysokoškolskému vzdělávání a vzdělávání sociálních pracovníků. Ostravská univerzita je popsána ve třetí kapitole, protože studenti, kteří jsou respondenty výzkumu, studují právě na této vysoké škole sociální práci. Druhá část závěrečné práce se věnuje výzkumu. Cílem výzkumu je zjistit postoje studentů Ostravské univerzity Fakulty sociálních studií oboru Sociální práce k vzdělávání v oblasti sociální práce. Jedná se o postoje k předmětům, přednáškám, cvičením/seminářům, odborným praxím, vyučujícím a znalostem nabytých při studiu na Ostravské univerzitě oboru Sociální práce. Výzkumným vzorkem jsou studenti sociální práce na Ostravské univerzitě v prezenční formě bakalářského a magisterského studia. Výzkum je vyhotoven ve statistickém programu IBM SPSS, a to jednorozměrnou a dvourozměrnou analýzou.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis is focused on the attitudes of the students who study Social Work at the Faculty of Social Studies at the University of Ostrava towards the education in the social work field. The thesis is divided into two parts. The theoretical part consists of three chapters. The first chapter describes the attitudes and their origins, types, changes, measurement and social worker and his goals and skills. The next chapter is focused on the education in general, high education and the education of social workers. The University of Ostrava is described in the third chapter based on the fact that the respondents of the research are the students of this university. The second part of the thesis concentrates on the research. The aim is to discover the attitudes of the students who study Social Work at the Faculty of Social Studies at the University of Ostrava towards the education in the social work field, especially the subjects, lectures, seminars, professional experience, teachers and the knowledge gained during their studies at the university. The respondents were students of the Social Work field of study at the University of Ostrava being either in the Bachelor`s or Master`s studies. The research was conducted by using statistical software IBM SPSS with the one-dimensional and two-dimensional analyses.
