Nádorové kmenové buňky (CSCs) nebo také tumor iniciující buňky již byly identifikovány u mnoha lidských nádorů. Tato buněčná populace je zodpovědná za iniciaci, terapeutickou rezistenci, progresi, rekurenci a metastazování nádoru, a proto by mohla být slibným terapeutickým cílem. Cancer stem cells (CSCs), or tumor-initiating cells, have been identified in various human cancers. Subpopulation of these cells is responsible for tumor initiation, therapy resistance, progression, relapse, and metastasis. Therefore, CSCs could be promising therapeutics targets.
