Abstract:

Cílem této práce je ověřit hypotézu, že metodiku PRINCE2 lze přizpůsobit jakémukoli projektovému prostředí. Práce využívá kvalitativní výzkum založený na případové studii týmu projektového řízení skupiny XYZ a zaměřuje se na jednu z jejich metodik. Metodiky jsou analyzovány na základě principů, témat a postupů jedné z metodik známé jako metodika přechodu. Tato metodika je pak upravena podle PRINCE2, přičemž je zachován soulad s kulturou a filozofií samotné společnosti. Práce začíná úvodem, po němž následuje teoretická část, která se zaměřuje na přehled literatury, včetně historie a různých metodik, přičemž středem jejího zájmu zůstává PRINCE2. Praktická část práce je analýzou skupiny XYZ, jejího týmu projektového řízení a různých metodik a zaměřuje se na jednu metodiku (metodiku přechodu). Analýza využívá doporučenou kontrolu stavu podle PRINCE2, po níž následuje model zralosti, který kontrolu stavu rozděluje na dodržování procesů a kvalitu implementace. To vede k doporučením, kde jsou na základě analýzy zjištěné metodiky přechodu zmíněny nedostatky a možná řešení, která je mohou odstranit. V závěru práce jsou uvedeny přínosy, které PRINCE2 nabízí při její implementaci, a závěr, kde je hypotéza prokázána.

Abstract:

This thesis aims to test the hypothesis that the PRINCE2 methodology can be tailored to any project environment. The thesis utilizes qualitative research based on the case study of the XYZ Group’s project management team and focuses on one of their methodologies. The methodologies are analyzed based on principles, themes, and procedures of one of the methodology known as the transition methodology. This methodology is then tailored according to PRINCE2, keeping in line with the culture and philosophy of the company itself. The thesis starts with an introduction followed by a theoretical part that focuses on the literature review, including history and different methodologies, while keeping PRINCE2 as the center of its focus. The practical area of the thesis is the analysis of the XYZ Group, their project management team, and various methodologies and focuses on a single methodology (the transition methodology). The analysis utilizes the PRINCE2 recommended health check followed by a maturity model, which breaks the health check down into compliance with the processes and the quality of implementation. This leads to recommendations where based on the analysis of the identified transition methodology, gaps are mentioned and possible solutions that can remedy them. The thesis concludes with the benefits offered by PRINCE2 on its implementation and a conclusion where the hypothesis is proved.
