Cieľom tejto diplomovej práce je analyzovať hospodársku politiku na Kube a zhodnotiť vývoj ekonomiky v priebehu deväťdesiatych rokov. Prvá časť pojednáva o politickom vývoji v krajine. Druhá kapitola popisuje fungovanie ekonomiky a dosiahnuté hospodárske výsledky pred rokom 1990. Hlavnú časť práce tvorí hospodárska politika v deväťdesiatych rokoch.
