Socially excluded localities in Ostrava (series of journalistic texts for Moravskoslezský deník)

Abstract:

Tématem bakalářské práce je romská menšina v České republice a její problémy. Cílem je sestavit soubor publicistických textů žánru story a reportáž určených pro cílové médium Moravskoslezský deník, ve kterých autorka přibližuje život Romů v sociálně vyloučených lokalitách v Ostravě. Teoretická část popisuje vznik bariér mezi majoritou a romskou menšinou, její současné postavení v české společnosti a seznamuje s problematikou sociálního vyloučení. Součástí této části je také charakteristika publicistických žánrů story a reportáž. V empirické části jsou popsány zvolené metody dotazování, popis cílového média a užití publicistických žánrů v tomto médiu. Z poznatků teoretického a empirického oddílu pak vychází tvůrčí část bakalářské práce, jejíž součástí jsou vlastní publicistické texty a kritické reflexe.

Abstract:

The theme of the thesis is the Roma minority in the Czech Republic and its problems. The aim is to create a set of journalistic texts story and reportage for the target medium Moravskoslezský deník, in which the author brings the life of the Roma in socially excluded localities in Ostrava. The theoretical part describes the creation of barriers between the majority and the Roma minority, its current position in Czech society and introduces the issue of social exclusion. In this section we can also find characteristic of journalistic genres reportage and story. The empirical section describes the selected polling methods, description of the target medium and the use of journalistic genres in this medium. From knowledge of theoretical and empirical sections comes the creative part of the thesis, which includes own journalistic texts and critical reflection.
