Modal verbs in Luigi Pirandello's novellas and Czech translations
Abstract:
The master thesis analyses the modal verbs in Italian, their translation into Czech and their classification according to the type of modality they express. The first part of the thesis describes the notion of modality, the second part describes the use of language in the works of Luigi Pirandello and in the group of novels examines the ways of expressing modality.
Abstract:
Diplomová práce analyzuje modální slovesa v italštině, jejich překlad do češtiny a jejich klasifikaci podle typu modality, kterou vyjadřují. První část práce je věnovaná popisu lingvistické kategorie modality, druhá část popisuje použití jazyka v dílech Luigiho Pirandella a ve skupině románů (Novelle per un anno) zkoumá způsoby vyjadřování modality.
